Your Opportunity to Support the Tap Community in Dallas!

Supporting Tap Dance

Tap dance is an original African American art form, born from the creativity, resilience, and expression of people whose voices were too often denied and undervalued. From those beginnings grew an extraordinary art form—one that has become an important part of American history and culture.

As members of today’s tap community, we have a responsibility to honor its history, preserve its traditions, support its artists, and ensure that future generations have opportunities to experience and participate in this incredible art form.

RIFF Dallas is committed to doing exactly that.

Through festivals, master classes, concerts, showcases, jams, educational programs, and scholarships, RIFF Dallas creates spaces where tap dancers of different ages, backgrounds, and experience levels can come together to learn, perform, collaborate, and celebrate tap dance.

Our Partnership

Bringing the RIFF Dallas mission to life requires a significant financial investment. Venue and theater rentals, guest artist fees and travel, musicians, production expenses, support staff, scholarships, and specialized flooring are all essential to providing the high-quality experiences our dancers deserve.

One of our greatest current needs is replacing approximately 3,000 square feet of tap flooring used for our classes, rehearsals, and performances.

We are developing a new flooring system designed specifically for the demands of tap dance and large-scale events. Our estimated investment is $20,000 per dance floor, for a total project cost of $60,000.

By sponsoring one or more RIFF Dallas dance floors, you are investing in much more than equipment.

You are helping create the very surface on which dancers learn, create, perform, and carry this art form forward.

Your partnership directly supports our ability to provide exceptional educational and performance opportunities while helping RIFF Dallas continue its mission of preserving and advancing tap dance.

There Is Always a Need…

There are so many talented and passionate tap dancers who simply cannot afford to attend festivals where specialized training, mentorship, and meaningful connections with the professional tap community are available.

For a young dancer, attending an event like RIFF Dallas can be transformative. It is an opportunity to learn from professional artists, experience the history and culture of tap dance firsthand, meet dancers from across the country, perform, improvise, collaborate, and begin building relationships within the greater tap community.

Finances should not be the reason a dancer misses that opportunity.

If you are in the unique position of being able to help, we encourage you to sponsor a tap dancer who otherwise may not be able to attend RIFF Dallas.

Your contribution can help provide tuition assistance and scholarships that open the door for a dancer to experience something that could have a lasting impact on their training, confidence, artistry, and future.

Sometimes supporting the future of tap dance means supporting one tap dancer at a time.
